    Errands before 1:00pm: 

 

        1) Go by condo ... get blue D*C card 

        2) Go by Kinko's ... print out "Directions to Johnston's House"
             (This is for the Sat. temporary leave from D*C)

        2) Go to Tag Office - renew GA tag

        3) 12:00pm - pick up Mearl Crumley at Windy Hill on way back to D*C. 

        4) Get to D*C Registration: pick up badges for myself & Mearl :)

  


Session 3 ( 1:00pm):

        ** Elfstone: Middle-earth LARP (Tolkien Track) **

        Elfstone is a live-action role playing troupe, specializing in ongoing
          adventures in the wondrous world of Tolkien's Middle-earth.  Featuring

        medieval costuming and real-time combat with safe foam latex weapons,

        Elfstone's greatest emphasis is placed on interactive role play and

        character development, all set amidst the backdrop of the Fourth Age.

 


Session 4 ( 2:30pm):

        ** Dragon Smackdown! Smaug vs. Glaurung (Tolkien) **

        Tolkien’s two most famous dragons share much in common, yet in many
          ways they couldn’t be more different. What sources did Tolkien use in 

        creating these two wicked worms, and how are their personalities unique?

        What dragon tricks do they use,  and how do their victims respond?  

        Which dragon do you love best? Be prepared to support your champion!

 

Session 5 ( 4:00pm):

        ** The 4400: Year Four (American SF & Fantasy TV) **

        Jordan Collier is the messiah, Isobel's out of jail and Tom Baldwin is a

        sleeper agent for the future.  Looks like no one's safe in the world of

        the 4400.

 

Session 6 ( 5:30pm):

        ** Speak Friend and Enter (Tolkien) ** 

        This is a great way to start off Dragon*Con - by getting to know other 

        Tolkien Fans!   Play some fantastic icebreakers - including the Whose 

        Ring Is It Anyway? game - and get the details on the rest of the Track. 

        Participation isn't just encouraged, it's required! 

        (TWO SESSIONS!)

 

Session 7 ( 7:00pm):

        ** The Dresden Files (American SF & Fantasy TV) **

        Featuring werewolves, vampires and maybe even a dragon, Jim Butcher's 

        urban magician hit the ground running.  Did Harry Dresden cast a spell 

        on you?

 

Session 8 ( 8:30pm):

        ** Lost: A Fan Guided Tour (X-Track) **

        What the...? Polar bears? The "door?" An underground bunker? Where are 

        all these people from that were not on the original flight, and how did

        they arrive on the island? A Lost fan discussion of what's happened and

        what might be happening next year ... or for the next five years.

Session 9 (10:00pm):

        ** An Evening in Bree (Tolkien) **

        The Prancing Pony is open for business!  Drop by for live music by 

        Emerald Rose, singing, and dancing in the best tradition of Barliman

        Butterbur's Inn at Bree.  Middle-earth Costume Parade will take place

        during the Intermission with prizes randomly drawn for those 

        participating; AOME (Arms of Middle Earth) photos while Emerald Rose is

        setting up.
